From March 24, the Italian artist Roberto Fanari treats visitors to Deelen Art with a glimpse into their inner landscape. In the artworks of Roberto Fanari nothing is what it seems. The true beauty is hidden from his creations. For the viewer who opens up, a personal landscape unfolds. As a mirror of the soul, his creations expose the relationship between man and nature.
'If you want to match nature, you always lose it', is one of the famous statements by the Italian Roberto Fanari. The artist therefore does not give nature itself, but his vision on that nature again. Both his ceramics and paintings challenge the spectator to come closer. The artwork only reveals itself when the viewer looks at it longer. The painting reveals itself in a different viewing angle or a shifting light. Shades of colour shift from black to dark blue and silver. Only then does the landscape created by the artist become known. An abstraction that unfolds in the mind of the viewer, until he recognizes his favourite park.
In his most recent paintings Fanari shows abstract cloudy skies. The ever-changing cloud parties on the beach formed his source of inspiration. With his skies he takes the viewer back to his childhood. Lying down in the grass, watching the clouds drifting by. Every cloud stimulates with its special form the imagination that makes the sky full of fantasy figures come to life.
